Timothy Mulry, M.A. Finance

Tim Mulry graduated with a B.S. in Business Administration in December of 1976 at the University of Illinois, Chicago. He received his M.B.A. in Finance in May of 1982 at the Illinois Institute of Technology.

For ten years, Tim was an Adult Probation Officer in Cook County for the Municipal District Courts for both the First and Fifth Districts.

Tim then pursued a career in banking, with over 25 years at Northern Trust. He worked in the areas of Collateral Evaluation, Loan Documentation and Credit Review.

Tim’s statement: My interest in special education began with my wife’s brother who has special needs. My wife, who is the founder of Sojourn TRC, is a retired special education teacher who owns horses. At the time, I wasn’t particularly interested in horses, but definitely enjoyed helping out and working with the kids. When I retired, I started working more around the barn and actually began riding at the age of 65! You’re never too old to learn.

The positive benefits of working around the barn and riding are very personal to me. Both my cardiologist and rheumatologist noticed big improvements in my overall health. I lost 30 pounds and feel better than ever both physically and mentally. I am a true believer that the outdoors and animals are good for the body and soul!
